Basic idea
Ida stands for individual digital assistant. The mobile application supports medical professionals and patients in the treatment of breast cancer.

Create added value
The ida app supports patients throughout their treatment, helping to reduce symptom burden and positively influence survival. At the same time, it helps to reduce the need for additional consultations and hospitalisations, making care more efficient and patient-centred.
Relevance of ida
With around 21,000 new cases of metastatic breast cancer diagnosed each year and approximately 68,000 women living with this disease in Germany, the ida app makes an important contribution to supporting and improving care for affected patients.
Interdisciplinary collaboration
The ida project is being developed under the leadership of Prof. Maria Margarete Karsten, MD, and Therese Pross, MD, MBA.
Activities
What makes this project special is its humanitarian aspect. It is deeply rewarding to be able to help people or even save lives through one's own work. In addition, it is simply exciting to work with colleagues at Charité and witness their incredible dedication to medicine.
From a technical perspective, in terms of IT, what makes it special are the high security requirements with regard to patient data and regulations. In addition, the medical operation with all its processes is interesting.
Finally, we are grateful to be part of the IDA team and to contribute our expertise to such an important issue.
